What we do
One category, done properly.
We pick a category where buying is genuinely difficult, build a dataset for it, and publish everything from that dataset.
1. Pick a category that is hard to buy in
Usually because sellers quote rather than publish, the products differ in ways the marketing does not explain, or the switching cost is high enough that people put the decision off. If a category is easy to buy in, it does not need us.
2. Build the dataset first
Every product, every module, every published price, each with the source and the date we checked. The dataset comes before the writing, which is the opposite of how most comparison content is made.
3. Derive the pages
Comparison pages are generated from the dataset rather than hand-written per product. That is not a shortcut — it is the mechanism that stops any product being favoured through selective presentation.
4. Keep it current
Prices move and products get discontinued. Every figure carries the date it was last verified, so a reader can see for themselves how fresh it is.
Where we publish
Two areas, for now
Business software. The systems small firms run on and rarely change — where a bad choice is lived with for years, pricing is quote-gated, and the published comparisons are thin. This is where the dataset approach earns its keep.
Travel. Destination guides for places we know in depth, published multilingually, aimed at the practical questions people have in the week before they go.
We do not list our properties here. Each publication stands on its own work, and readers should judge it on that rather than on who owns it. Publishers and partners we work with are told exactly which titles are ours — just ask.
