Standards
The rules we hold ourselves to.
These are enforced in the code that builds our sites, not just stated here.
Facts come from the source
A price is published only when it appears on the seller’s own page; a rule only as the body that sets it states it; a practical detail only once we have checked it. Each renders with a link to the source and the date we checked. We never carry a third-party estimate, even to fill a gap.
Gaps stay gaps
Where a seller does not publish a price, or a question has no reliable answer, we say so. An empty cell that is honest is more useful than a filled one that is guessed — and the fact that a company will not publish its pricing is itself worth knowing.
Payment does not affect placement
We earn from commissions, qualified enquiries and sponsorship. None of it changes a ranking, a score, a recommendation or an inclusion. We cover products and places that pay us nothing, and we keep covering them.
Disclosure sits with the link
Where a page carries a commercial link, the disclosure appears in the visible part of that page, before the link — not buried in a footer.
Comparisons are derived, not written
Where we compare products, the differences are computed from a dataset. Nobody can quietly improve one product’s write-up, because there is no per-product write-up to improve.
Corrections are welcome and quick
If we have something wrong — particularly if it is your product, your venue or your patch — tell us and we will fix it. Show us where the correct version is published and it is usually the same day.
What we will not do
We do not sell rankings, publish sponsored content presented as editorial, accept payment to remove a competitor, or write about something nobody has looked at properly. If that is the brief, we are the wrong publisher.
